Michael E. Berland, Principal & Managing Director of Hanna Commercial’s Accelerated Marketing Division, has been conducting real estate auctions for 32 years. A licensed Real Estate Broker & Auctioneer in multiple states, Mr. Berland has been a keynote speaker on several panels including the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Berland has conducted real estate auctions throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean with sales in excess of $3 billion. Mr. Berland has sold all types of properties at auction including: Shopping Centers, Office Buildings, Apartment Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Retail Properties, Hospitality Properties, Vacant Land, Golf Courses, School Properties, Churches, Movie Theatres, Gas Stations, Car Washes, Townhome and Condominium Developments, Trophy Homes, Resort Properties and Farms. Mr. Berland is responsible for designing and implementing a land parcel auction series in Chicago that consisted of 19 auctions and produced sales of over 2,000 Chicago landsites to builders, investors and private individuals.
Mr. Berland is also well known for his charitable work as the auctioneer at fundraising events for many charitable organizations.
Mr. Berland’s hobbies include golf, sailing and martial arts. As a former three-time national karate champion, Mr. Berland is now an avid fan of mixed martial arts.
In 1991 Mac Biggar co-founded Chartwell Group, LLC which today is Hanna Commercial. Prior to that, Mac worked at Colliers International for six years and B.P. America’s Management Training Program for three years. Under Mr. Biggar’s leadership and direction, Hanna Commercial has grown from a three person office to a current team of 90 people. Today, the company is northeastern Ohio’s largest, locally-owned commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm, and is a multiple winner of the Weatherhead 100 award.
Mac has successfully completed numerous transactions for major companies such as AT&T, TRW, General Electric, Nestle, Ferro Corporation, Keithley Instruments, Step 2, Glencairn, Banker Trust of New York, and the corporate Headquarters for BFGoodrich.
Throughout his career, Mr. Biggar’s production has consistently been in the top tier of commercial brokers within the Greater Cleveland Market. Recently, Mr. Biggar was the procuring cause of the largest lease completed, having a value in excess of $15,000,000. He has won NAIOP’s award for the “Best Marketing of an Office/Warehouse Building” and has been nominated for both “Broker of the Year” and “Deal of the Year”.
Mac is a graduate of the University School, University of Vermont, and has received his MBA from Case Western Reserve’s Weatherhead School of Management. In addition, he has completed postgraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Center for Real Estate Development.
Mr. Biggar is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Certified Commercial Investment Managers (CCIM), and is a member and serves on the Board of Directors of Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO).
Outside of Hanna Commercial Mr. Biggar is a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers of Greater Cleveland, serves on the Pepper Pike Civic League as a trustee, and is a member of the Leadership Cleveland class of 2004.

In his 35-year real estate brokerage career, Gordon J. Greene, Manager of Accelerated Marketing of Hanna Commercial, has been one of the pioneers in implementing real estate auction strategy with such innovations as, the residential scattered site sale, offering of commercial properties at auction, and the national commercial auction format. Gordon has been involved in over 1,100 real estate auctions in 40 states, the provinces of Canada, as well as the Bahamas, yielding sales of commercial and unique real property in excess of $3.75 billion. Prior to joining Hanna Commercial, Gordon was the president of Sheldon Good & Co. Auctions, Inc., when headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
The National Association of Realtors awarded Gordon the prestigious Campbell Trophy for the most creative commercial real estate transaction in the nation for two consecutive years. Additionally, the National Auctioneers Association honored him with the Auction of the Year 2000 Award.
Gordon has represented a number of Ohio-based realty owners in auction offerings including Forest City Enterprises, Western & Southern Life Assurance, BP Oil, Smythe Cramer Realty and Realty One.
Gordon received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois. He also taught Real Estate Auction Strategies for 20 years at the Missouri Auction School.

David G. Lang, Vice President with Hanna Commercial has fourteen years of broad real estate experience serving numerous clients in Rochester, NY, Cleveland, OH and through out New England.
David’s first-hand knowledge of the issues and challenges that clients, business owners, and business executives face on a daily basis based on his previous career as a small business owner. His well-rounded background in commercial space planning, project management and market knowledge is now focused on business development for Hanna Commercial’s Accelerated Marketing/Auctions Program in the Hartford and New England market. David is respected by clients as a diligent and thorough advisor achieving desirable goals.
His goal of relocating on the east coast is to bring the advantages of Hanna Commercial’s auction program to a new audience. His ability to combine his real estate experience with specialized real estate auction knowledge is a tremendous advantage to corporations, financial institutions, investment groups and individuals. David’s skill is in focusing marketplace attention to the property while creating a competitive bidding environment to insure a maximum pricing for the asset offered.
Recent civic involvements include, serving as a Board Member NE Ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and Executive Committee (2004 – 2012), chairing the annual Arthritis Walk (2002-2009) and Board Member Beachwood Chamber of Commerce (2006 – 2012). David holds two degrees, one in Commercial Art and one in Commercial Photography. He and his wife live in West Hartford, Connecticut. They have two children, a daughter living in Amherst, MA and son in New York, NY.
